More Highlights from Audio Advice Live 2023

The Audio Advice Live home entertainment show that ended Sunday in Raleigh, North Carolina was a resounding success as a showcase for some of the most compelling AV technologies of our time. Many of the event’s biggest moments were documented by S&V editor Mark Henninger. Today we focus on KEF, Klipsch, and Sony. Watch for more in-depth show coverage.

Making a Klipsch Classic Even Better
Klipsch engineer Roy Delgado demonstrates a unique subwoofer with classic twist — it’s horn-loaded. Dubbed “the Large,” the prototype design was hitched to a pair of the brand’s iconic Klipschorns to deliver room-shaking output down to 18 Hz.

Sony and KEF Get Real with Home Theater
Sony teams with KEF to show what’s possible in a less-than-ideal space through a demo featuring a Sony VPL-XW7000ES projector with a 131-inch Stewart Filmscreen ambient-light-rejecting (ALR) screen and an 11-channel KEF Q Series surround-sound system driven by Sony’s monstrous STR-AZ7000ES AV receiver. The setup boasts four subwoofers, strategically placed around the room, and four height speakers in the ceiling.
