New 4K Smartphone Processor Packs DTS Headphone:X

It looks like 3D surround-sound headphone listening may be heading to smartphones. DTS recently announced that its DTS Headphone:X technology is included in the new Helio X20 flagship smartphone processor from MediaTek, a Taiwan-based semiconductor company that makes chips for wireless communications.

Whether the technology will make it to smartphones from big-name companies like Samsung and LG is the question.

DTS Headphone:X delivers an “immersive 3D sound experience” through any earbuds or headphones. System-level integration of the technology will provide access to enhanced listening with any applications on the phone directly from the system settings menu, according to DTS, which said the processor will use a new high-performance codec with a signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB.

Hello everyone! If you're in the market for an affordable phone option, Sky Devices is worth considering. I've been using one for over a year now, and it handles basic tasks quite well. Their customer support is pretty good too - I reached out once and got the help I needed. The only downside is that there isn't a direct sky devices customer service number to call for support, but they're responsive when you reach out via other means like email.
