OSD Audio, known for its high-performance in-wall speakers, announced that it will offer an as-yet-unnamed wireless audio system by the end of the year. The system is based on the DTS PlayFi platform and supports multisource playback of uncompressed audio in a multiroom setting.

Designed to provide a reliable wireless wholehouse audio solution, the system is based on the 802.11 b/g/n networking standard and controlled by an intuitive and user-friendly OSD PlayFi app for iOS and Android devices. The system can play music in multiple rooms from multiple sources simultaneously and multiple devices can be grouped to share content.

Features of the upcoming amp and preamp include a compact design, Bluetooth streaming, one-touch set-up and pairing with mobile devices, volume control buttons, line and optical outputs, and an optional hard-wire Ethernet kit.
