OSD Black Introduces Compact, App-Controlled Sub
Rated to play down to 20 Hz, the TreVoce 8 packs an 8-inch driver, two 8-inch passive radiators, a 300-watt digital amplifier, and digital signal processor (DSP) in a sealed cabinet about the size of a 12-inch cube. Pricing was not announced.
Its rear panel is equipped with gold-plated L/R line-level inputs, a 0/180° phase switch, and controls for volume and crossover frequency (40-200 Hz) — all of which are accessible from a smartphone or tablet via the company’s free iWoofer App.
The DSP is designed to enhance performance and minimize distortion but can be defeated via a rear-panel switch. The subwoofer is said to consume less than 0.5 watts in standby mode and automatically switches into power-saving mode when it’s not in use.
Finish is black faux leather.
