One of Parasound's latest entries in its New Classic" line, the 5250 is a big, black box with a lot of brawn- 250-Watts per over five channels. In spite of the relatively modest price, the 5250 distinguishe itself with a Class AB topology based on fully discrete circuits (no ICs here, thanks) with a big power supply featuring dual toroids. We haven't given it a listen but on paper and by Parasound's rep it's a lot of amp for the money. In stores now.
