Key Updates and Features

Dirac Live Bass Control
Available for the Onkyo TX-RZ50 and Integra DRX-5.4, users can now purchase a license for Dirac Live Bass Control Single Version from the Dirac Live Store. This addition enhances room correction and bass management capabilities including:

Automatic Calibration: DLBC streamlines subwoofer setup and calibration, ensuring optimal performance with minimal effort.

Consistent Bass Response: By co-optimizing subwoofers and main speakers, DLBC provides smooth, evenly distributed bass across the listening area, reducing seat-to-seat variations.

Flexible Subwoofer Placement: The technology supports flexible subwoofer placement, adapting to various room layouts without compromising sound quality.

Enhanced Integration: DLBC seamlessly integrates multiple subwoofers with main speakers, delivering cohesive and impactful low-frequency sound.

Enhanced Dirac Live Measurement
The update reduces the occurrence of measurement errors in the Dirac Live application, aiming for a faster, smoother, frustration-free calibration process.

Amazon Music HD Support
Models listed above will now support Amazon Music HD, allowing playback of High Definition (HD) and Ultra High Definition (Ultra HD) audio formats via Onkyo, Integra, and Pioneer smartphone applications. This integration aims to deliver clearer and richer sound quality.

Dolby Atmos Music Playback
Some of the receivers will gain the ability to play Dolby Atmos< content through Amazon Music HD and Tidal Native Playback. Dolby Atmos Music offers an enveloping 3D listening experience by incorporating spatial audio elements including height effects.

Source-Based Tone Mapping for HDMI 2.1a
The firmware introduces Source-Based Tone Mapping (SBTM), which shifts HDR tone mapping from the display to the source device. This feature is designed to optimize HDR signals automatically, enhancing picture quality without the need for manual adjustments.

Improved Amplifier Power Supply Sequence
An update to the amplifier power supply sequence should help to lower relay sounds when things get quiet.

Google Cast 2.0 Integration
The updated firmware includes changes to the setup screens in smartphone applications. The result is easier connections using Google Cast 2.0.

Support for Tidal MAX
Receivers will now support Tidal MAX, enabling playback of Hi-Res Lossless Audio Codec content up to 192KHz/24bit through the respective smartphone apps.

Update Procedure
For internet-connected models, users will receive notifications via on-screen display and front panel indicators. Non-connected devices can download the firmware from the official websites and update via USB. Integra AVR users can access the update through the "Setup Firmware Menu."
