PSB Brings Flagship Tech to Popular Imagine Series
Like their predecessors, the newly refined Imagine models represent the company’s “best value no-compromise performance” and notch up the performance-to-price ratio by incorporating proven technology developed for company’s flagship Synchrony Series.
Each of the three new models — the T65 ($1,999/pair) and T54 ($1,499/pair) three-way floorstanders and B50 two-way bookshelf speaker ($699/a pair) — mates a 1-inch titanium-dome tweeter with a woven carbon-fiber cone woofer and midrange driver (in the three-way models), mass-loaded rubber surrounds, a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley crossover (the same one used in Synchrony speakers), and an extensively-braced MDF cabinet.
Before being released for shipping, each speaker is tested and fine-tuned by PSB’s engineering team to ensure it meets spec. The new models will be available for purchase starting November 7th.
The top speaker in the Imagine Series, the T65 tower is rated down to 28 Hz (±3 dB) and boasts a 5.25-inch midrange driver and two 6.5-inch woofers in a bass-reflex enclosure 34.5 inches tall with two slotted ports in back. The slightly shorter T54 is rated down to 35 Hz (±3 dB) and features a 4-inch midrange driver and dual 5.25-inch woofers in the same type of cabinet.
Standing a foot tall, the B50 bookshelf speaker is rated down to 45 Hz (±3 dB) and mates the tweeter with a 5.25-inch woofer in a ported enclosure with a single slotted port in back.
All models are available in a satin white or black finish with polished aluminum accents for seamless integration with PSB’s PWM series of on-wall speakers and detachable magnetic grilles. For more information, visit psbspeakers.com.
