Quad L-ite Soundbar Speaker System HT Labs Measures

HT Labs Measures

L/R Sensitivity:
87 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Center Sensitivity:
89 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Surround Sensitivity:
85 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the L-ite LCR L/R (purple trace), L-ite LCR center channel (green trace), L-ite Satellite surround (red trace), and L-ite Subwoofer (blue trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.

The L-ite LCR left’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and verti- cal responses) measures +2.54/–4.28 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 120 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 100 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.38 ohms at 276 Hz and a phase angle of –42.09 degrees at 143 Hz.

The L-ite LCR center’s listening-window response measures +2.23/ –2.39 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.25/–3.13 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 107 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 92 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.61 ohms at 277 Hz and a phase angle of –35.26 degrees at 137 Hz.

The L-ite Satellite’s listening-window response measures +5.84/ –1.53 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 89 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 75 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.67 ohms at 232 Hz and a phase angle of –32.26 degrees at 139 Hz.

The L-ite Subwoofer’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 44 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 26 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 156 Hz with the Low Pass Filters set to Off.—MJP
