Here’s a product you don’t come across every day. Vana, the Lake George, NY-based distributor of audio products and accessories, today introduced a solution designed specifically for cleaning vinyl records.

Revolv Supreme Clean Record Cleaning Solution is a proprietary alcohol-free formula developed by a chemist and biologist in consultation with analog/vinyl experts. The solution is described as safe for all records and can be applied manually or used with vacuum or ultrasonic record cleaning machines.

Pricing is $12 for a 4-ounce bottle, $20 for 16 ounces, and $32 for 32 ounces.

The fluid, which is prepared under the “strictest of industry standards” using pure, laboratory-grade water, is said to clean dirt and dust from LPs without causing any degradation to the vinyl, even after extended exposure. Vana said the overarching goal was to develop a record cleaning fluid that’s easy to use and suitable for avid collectors and archivists.
