Scosche Industries, the company that made a name for itself as a leading supplier of car audio products and accessories, has outfitted its newest portable wireless speaker with a couple of clever features.

Apart from being dust tight and waterproof, the IP67-rated BoomBottle MM ($130) has a built-in bottle opener and magnetic top and bottom panels so you can “attach” your phone to the speaker or attach the speaker to a metal surface.

Roughly the size and shape of a water bottle, the BoomBottle is equipped with two 1.8-inch drivers driven by 12 watts and a pair 1.6-inch passive radiators for enhanced bass. The drivers are housed in a “military drop-tested” enclosure with a rubberized/waterproof control panel with buttons for volume, play/pause, track skip, and “dual pairing” for linking two speakers for stereo playback.

Rated battery life is 12 hours on a full charge and the speaker has an auto-sensing indoor/outdoor EQ that automatically adjusts for the best sound quality.
