Priced at $300, the new model is the company’s top earbud and supports the latest sound technologies, including Bluetooth 5.4, Auracast, and Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless technology, aptX Adaptive, and Bluetooth LE Audio.
The earbuds boast a number of advancements over previous models, including an upgraded adaptive noise-cancellation system, improved RF-reception, and a six-microphone array with enhanced voice pickup. Among its other key features are a low-latency mode for gaming and a Sound Personalization mode co-developed with the Fraunhofer Institute that tailors sound to the unique attributes of your hearing.
These and other sound-shaping options are available through the company’s Smart Control App, which also provides a five-band EQ with the ability to store custom presets, several preset EQ modes, and the ability to create “sound zones” for specific listening environments.
The earbuds are built around Sennheiser’s TrueResponse transducer technology, which is said to deliver “impactful bass and refined treble,” and have been reshaped to help prevent wax buildup. A selection of different-size eartips and ear fins are provide to ensure a snug fit.
Rated battery life is up to 7.5 hours plus an additional 22.5 hours using the charging case with an 8-minute quick charge option providing up to an hour play time.
