Sony today announced pricing and availability for the 4K Blu-ray player, Bluetooth-enabled wireless turntable, wireless speakers, and other audio products it previewed at CES 2019 in January.

With its ability to spin SACD and DVD-Audio discs, Ken Pohlmann called the feature-packed UBP-X800M2 4K Blu-ray player about as close to a universal media player as you can get. The player supports hi-res audio and three high dynamic range (HDR) formats — Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) — in addition to streaming 4K content from Netflix and YouTube, upscaling HD content to 4K resolution, and passing through Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound. The player will sell for $300 when it ships in mid-May.

Available starting today, the PS-LX310BT wireless turntable ($200) brings modern technology to a decades-old playback device by letting you stream albums wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled speakers, headphones, receivers, and other devices.

Two other products are slated for mid-April release: The GTK-PG10 portable wireless speaker ($250) and GTK-XB72 wireless party speaker. ($350). The Bluetooth-enabled PG10 features a rated battery life of up to 13 hours, an FM tuner, karaoke with key control and echo, and built-in cup holders. Designed with parties in mind, the XB72 features an app-controllable multicolor LED light with a flashing strobe and an Extra Bass mode; the speaker can be used sitting upright or on its side.

A 2.1-channel soundbar and three “Extra Bass” portable Bluetooth speakers are slated for release at the end of April. The HT-S350 soundbar ($280) supports Bluetooth streaming and is equipped with Sony’s S-Force virtual surround sound technology, an ARC-enabled HDMI connector for quick one-cable hookups, and a wireless subwoofer; total power output is 320 watts.

Described as dust tight and waterproof (in up to 3 feet of water) the IP67-rated SRS-XB12 Bass speaker ($60) is small enough to fit in a cup holder and boasts a rated battery life of up to 16 hours.

In addition to being dust and waterproof, the oblong SRS-XB22 ($100) is also shockproof and uses dual passive radiators to bolster bass from its two “full-range” drivers; the speaker also boasts a Live Sound mode that uses digital signal processing to create a “three-dimensional sound experience.”

SRS-XB32 ($150) adds a multicolor LED party light with a flashing strobe to the XB22 and has slightly larger drive units.
