T+A elektroakustik’s Pulsar S 130 Loudspeakers Debut

German high-end audio specialist T+A elektroakustik has unveiled its new Pulsar S 130 loudspeaker, a floorstanding model priced at $7,490/pair. As part of a broader initiative to revamp its speaker lineup, T+A states that this design incorporates technologies and concepts drawn from its flagship Solitaire and Criterion series, pulling that engineering pedigree into a more accessible price bracket.

At the core of the S 130 is T+A’s Symmetric Directivity Design, which the company says aims to minimize unwanted reflections and tonal distortions. By carefully controlling how sound leaves the drivers, T+A attempts to maintain consistent dispersion across the speaker’s bandwidth. According to the company, this design principle received recognition from the German Federal Government in 2024, validating T+A’s approach to acoustic innovation and engineering.

T+A’s high-end speaker lines, Solitaire and Criterion, are known for proprietary techniques that manage dispersion and improve sonic clarity. The new Pulsar S 130 is said to extend this methodology across T+A’s entire speaker portfolio, creating a consistent design language. While T+A’s Cylinder Wave Technology remains most closely associated with its top-tier products, the underlying ideas and engineering philosophy have trickled down to the S 130. According to T+A, external acknowledgment of these concepts underscores the investment and risk inherent in introducing new loudspeaker technologies.

For deep frequencies, the Pulsar S 130 integrates an updated bass reflex system with a front-facing port. T+A claims this approach more effectively harnesses the rearward energy of the woofer, resulting in stable, controlled bass that blends seamlessly with midrange and treble output.

Aesthetically, T+A describes the Pulsar S 130’s look as “Classical Modernity.” A slightly angled front baffle and drivers mounted without visible hardware not only deliver a cleaner visual but, per T+A, also contribute to cohesive sound dispersion. Matte finishes and understated accents are meant to suit a wide range of interiors.

The Pulsar S 130 is available for order now. For more information, visit T+A elektroakustik’s official website.
