TV fans that can't get enough should flock to the new TiVo Series2 DVR.

On February 27, the San Jose, CA-based digital video recording pioneer announced a new high-capacity machine capable of capturing more than one month's worth of programming- 140 hours at the lowest level of resolution. The Series2 will also break a price barrier, with a $350 cost after a $50 rebate. That offer will be good through May 2004.

The 140-hour TiVo Series2 DVR is compatible with cable, digital cable, satellite services and over-the-air broadcasts. The TiVo service is sold separately for $12.95 per month, or a one-time fee of $299 for the lifetime of the product. The Series2 DVR will be available directly from TiVo as well as though retailers including BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.com, Amazon.com and Good Guys.

"With the largest recording capacity we currently offer, the 140-hour TiVo Series2 DVR gives consumers the flexibility to record more of their favorite programs and watch them whenever they want."

Updated features include TiVo's "Season Pass," allowing viewers to record an entire season of their favorite shows with just a click of the remote. The "WishList" feature lets viewers search for and record programs that feature their favorite actor, director or sports team.
