Top 10 Movies, TV Shows: Blu-ray vs. Digital

Game of Thrones: The Complete 5th Season and Sisters were the top selling Blu-ray and digital titles, respectively, as of mid-March, according to the Digital Entertainment Group (DEG), while Daredevil and The Walking Dead grabbed the top spots in this week’s Top 10 Digital Originals and Top 10 All Shows lists created in partnership with Parrot Analytics. Parrot analyzes how titles perform across “online demand expression platforms,” including video streaming, social media, blogs and micro-blogging platforms, fan and critic rating sites, file-sharing sites and peer-to-peer protocols.

Top 10 Digital Originals
Netflix originals continue to dominate the most in-demand digital originals in the U.S. this week, according to DEG/Parrot. Daredevil remains at the top of the digital originals Top 10 list, while Hulu’s new original The Path has debuted in the No. 5 spot this week after premiering on March 30th.

Top 10 Overall
With Game of Thrones season 6 set to premiere on April 24th, audience demand is increasing as it takes the second spot in this week’s the Top 10 All Shows list. The Walking Dead still holds first place with more than twice the demand of Game of Thrones. Fuller House drops off the Top 10 All Shows list but Daredevil remains in 6th place. The second season finale of Star Wars Rebels captured the interest of fans in the U.S., with audience demand rising last week to make it the 5th most in-demand overall TV show. The mid-season return of Empire on March 30th also brings it into the Top 10 All Shows list for the first time.
