'Top Gear' now recording in HD
I love Top Gear. I might not be a "car guy," but Top Gear always manages to captivate me. Fast cars, strange vehicles, great humor, it's one of the most entertaining series on the BBC. Unfortunately, it's also in standard definition. Pretty cars aren't quite as pretty as they could be when your receiver/HDTV has to upscale the signal.
Fortunately, the upcoming season of Top Gear fixes that. Jeremy, Richard, James, and the Stig are recording their new episodes with HD video cameras, so they'll hit BBC HD in glorious high-def. The first HD episodes of Top Gear hit British airwaves on November 15. Unfortunately, a specific date has yet to be announced for BBC America to start showing the new high-def episodes.
