You Again (Blu-ray)
With a cast that includes Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, and Betty White, one would assume these stars wouldn't attach their names to anything but a surefire hit. Wrong! The laughs are hard to come by, the slapstick is anything but funny, and the ending is vomit educing.
Video Highlights
- AVC/1080p encode on a BD-50 disc
- Solid primary colors
- Inky blacks
- Strong detail
- Excellent depth
Audio Highlights
- DTS-HD MA 5.1 soundtrack
- Lackluster sound design
- Front-heavy presentation
- Tepid dynamics
The highlight to the entire experience is the strong AVC video encode, which features a natural color palette and inky blacks. Unfortunately, the middling audio experience doesn't help the poor screenplay improve one bit.
Bonus Materials br>
- Deleted Scenes
- Two featurettes
- Blooper Dance Party
It's rare that Disney releases a movie that's so poorly done, but this is the worst film I've seen in 2011 by a large margin and is best to be avoided. Its only redeeming quality is its strong video presentation, but even that's not worth a $2 Redbox rental.
