Zvox Cuts Price of its Largest SoundBase

Zvox announced today that it is lowering the price of its SoundBase.770 from $700 to $500.

The SoundBase.770 is big brother to the SoundBase.670, which netted a Sound & Vision Top Picks designation last December. At 42-inches wide and 18 inches deep, Zvox claims the 770 is the largest platform style soundbar on the market and able to support TVs weighing up to 140 pounds.

The 3.5-inch-tall enclosure packs seven speakers: three 5.25-inch woofers plus five 2 x 3-inch main drivers, all powered by a 125-watt digital amplifier. Features include Bluetooth/aptX streaming, Zvox’s PhaseCue virtual surround processing and AccuVoice dialogue enhancement, automatic output leveling to tone down loud commercials, three analog stereo inputs, and three digital inputs, two optical and one coaxial.
