Abby Richter is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She's in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway, a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.

This one got panned during its theatrical run. I don’t think I read a single positive review, despite the rather funny trailers. So naturally I went into this one with pretty low expectations and actually found it quite amusing. It plays on the rather vulgar side of comedy, which may turn some off, but if you go in thinking this is going to be a rather over the top sex comedy you may find a lot to like. I actually thought they could go a bit further with the lude innuendo but that may have lost more audience than it gained. Still, the wife and I had a lot of fun with this one despite its obvious formula.

The Blu-ray presentation looks good but had a few spots that bugged me. The color pallet most notably, which has some garish reds and oranges from time to time in the flesh tone department. Aside from that detail was quite good and the image manages a pretty solid sense of dimension. The audio track was exactly what I would expect from a “romcom” and manages to fill the soundstage with some catchy tunes now and again that play to the drama onscreen.

Extras include some deleted scenes and gags along with the movieIQ BD-Live features that allows for real time info on cast and crew during the film. You also get a portable copy of the film for computers.

If you don’t mind a potty mouthed romantic comedy, this is just the ticket for a fun date night flick. Sony delivers a good presentation overall with some fun extras. Recommended.
