Panasonic to Tour U.S. with 3D

The Panasonic Touch the Future Tour will let members of the public (that's you) in 15 cities get direct experience with the company's version of 3D technology, starting Monday March 15 in New York and finishing next month in Miami. See end of this story for other locales and dates.

Panasonic is, of course, launching its 3D television line, as are most other major manufacturers this year. The tour will include hands-on and eyes-on demos of Full HD 3D Plasma Home Entertainment Systems, Viera plasma, LCD, and LCD-LED HDTVs, Blu-ray players, HTiBs, and Lumix digital cameras and camcorders. Highlights will include:

  • The world's first commercial 3D TV channels
  • Test drives of 3D gaming
  • Skype-enabled HDTVs
  • Networked Viera Cast IPTVs
  • Sweepstakes with a chance to win in each city The sweepstakes goodies will include Viera 3D plasma, 3D Blu-ray player, and one pair of Panasonic Active Shutter Eyewear.
