PlayStation Achieves HD Quorum
Sony's PlayStation Network has become the first platform to carry high-def movie content from all six major studios, the company says in a press release.
They're all on board: 20th Century Fox, Disney, Paramount, Universal, Warner, and of course Sony Pictures. The initial rollout will be in the U.S. but Sony has imminent plans to introduce the service to the U.K., France, Germany, and Spain.
Programming can be rented or purchased a Windows PC for PlayStation playback or accessed directly on the PSP by wi-fi. Rentals last 14 days, and once you start one, you have 24 hours to finish it.
