In-House TV Station: Terk WaveMaster 20

Let's suppose you have a nicely installed home theater system and a TV upstairs in your bedroom. Let's further suppose that sometimes you'd like to watch a movie playing on your home theater system's DVD player in your bedroom. Without taking the player upstairs, or snaking a dedicated cable between the two, you can't do it.

Or can you? Terk Technologies, the antenna people, have a great solution: The Leapfrog WaveMaster 20, a clever device that accepts audio and video inputs and converts them to UHF signals for transmission anywhere in your house. Forget that cabling network---all you need is a tiny box measuring only 1.8" H x 4.4" W x 6.9" D. The WaveMaster 20 accepts any NTSC or PAL A/V output, including modulated channel 2/4 RF, and hi-fi stereo, and converts it to the super-high 2.4GHz frequency band for beaming to audio/video systems anywhere in your home. The high frequency allows for the cleanest signals over the longest distances, according to Terk---up to 100 feet.

The WaveMaster 20 setup includes transmitter and remote receiver units compatible with all TV sets, with standard RF coaxial and RCA jacks. With this equipment, you can remotely connect any type of new or old TV to sources located elsewhere, such as VCRs, DVD players, CD players, cable TV boxes, or satellite receivers. You can also "daisy chain" three additional receiver units for multiple television sets. The WaveMaster 20 can be used to transmit audio from a computer and can work as part of a home security system when connected to a camcorder and TV. All necessary connecting cables are included.
