iPad now outputs Netflix to HDTVs
The iPad is barely a few weeks old and already it's seeing significant software updates. The Netflix Watch Instantly app for the iPad is getting a major new feature that could change how you use your iPad.
The newly released version of the software, 1.0.2, supports video out from the iPad to an HDTV. Unfortunately, the software doesn't seem to output in HD like dedicated set-top boxes, and the only available video-out adapters are component, composite, or VGA. Still, if you don't have a set-top box, or a Netflix-compatble Blu-ray player, or a Netflix-compatible HDTV, or a game console, you now have a way to watch streaming Netflix videos on your HDTV.
