Netflix has already made an appearance on the iPad, but it's been curiously absent on Apple's ubiquitous smartphone. That's going to change this summer, as Steve Jobs announced yesterday that Netflix is indeed coming to the iPhone.

Few details beyond a planned launch in the summer and the statement that the app will be free. The big question is whether it will only work over Wi-fi, or if iPhone users will be able to stream Netflix content over their AT&T 3G data plan.
