Roku gets Frightology horror movie channel, hilarious movie names
The new Apple TV poses a major threat to Roku's set-top box with its Netflix-streaming capabilities and $99 price point. To keep an edge over Apple, Roku is adding additional premium content to its box. The most recent addition to the Roku service is the Frightology channel, a pay-per-view horror movie channel that offers tons of gory, scary films for $2.99 per month.
These aren't mainstream slasher movies everyone has seen before, though. Frightology is an indie horror movie channel, and some of the movies it offers sound awesome. There's Fist of the Vampire, Secrets of the Clown, Autopsy: A Love Story, Cadaverella, and dozens more. I don't know about you, but Mother's Day Massacre could be the holiday-themed horror movie we've all been waiting for.
