Dead & Company Show to Stream Live on Saturday

It’s been 20 years since Jerry Garcia died, bringing 30 years of the Grateful Dead to an end. Over the years surviving members Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart have carried on in various offshoots of the band and reunited sporadically for one-off performances and tours featuring many guests.

Over the summer the “core four” reunited for the Fare Thee Well tour, a run of five sold-out stadium shows celebrating the Dead's 50th anniversary and marking the last time the four original members would perform together.

Dead & Company—the newest lineup featuring Weir, Lesh, Kreutzmann along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band), and Jeff Chimenti (RatDog, Fare Thee Well)—has been touring since late October and has 18 shows scheduled through the end of the year. The concerts are built around the Dead’s historic catalog of songs, including these gems.

Saturday night’s performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden will be streamed live at amexunstaged.com. The show, part of the American Express Unstaged series, starts at 7:30 p.m. ET.
