Resolution is everything when it comes to a surveillance system, and each extra pixel can be the difference between positively identifying a bad guy and just being able to say, “Yep, we got robbed.” Swann is upping the DIY surveillance game with an upcoming everything-you-need-in-a-box surveillance system that will include four Ultra High Def 4K cameras and a 2 Terabyte NVR giving you more than 8 million per camera, all dedicated to keeping an eye on your stuff.

The camera resolution was terrific, letting you zoom way in to examine tiny details. The cameras are also IP66 weatherproof rated, meaning they can stand up to all that Mother Nature throws at them, and have a 100-foot night vision range.

The NVR features a built-in PoE switch for plug-and-play operation with virtually no configuration needed for system operation. The NVR has an HDMI 2.0 output for connection to your new 4K TV and utilizes H.264+ compression to maximize recording quality and space. When you want to watch all cameras at once, the NVR will display four 1080p images on your 4K display.

The kit will include all of the cabling and power supplies needed for install and is expected to be available this spring. Pricing was unavailable.
