As headphones go, HiFiMan’s glamorous Edition X is about as good as it gets with an uncanny ability to bring you closer to the music you love. Nobsound NS-08E Micro Tube Amp: $50

Geoff Morrison had low expectations for this curiosity of an amp, having just been “aggressively unimpressed” with another micro tube amp. But, as he explained, “I’m not sure I’ve ever been more wrong. This thing is fantastic. Not “fantastic for $50” but legitimately fantastic…For $50, it’s easy to love the Nobsound. It looks cool and makes your headphones sound better. Hard to beat that.”
