Sunbrite Unveils Re-Engineered Outdoor TVs
The updated Veranda Series of 4K/Ultra HD TVs — all weatherproof models designed for permanent installation in full-share areas — includes 43-, 55-, and 65-inch screen sizes that ship next week and a 75-inch model slated to follow later in the year.
Compared with their predecessors, the new models are said to offer better image quality, expanded control and audio options, and a more contemporary design featuring a thinner bezel and metallic-black finish. Upgrades include high-dynamic range (HDR) processing, a “significantly brighter screen,” IP control, and plug-and-play compatibility with SunBrite’s outdoor soundbars.
SunBrite says it’s one of the first outdoor TV manufacturers to offer complete IP control, which makes it easy to integrate one of the new Veranda TVs into an existing system, while the TV’s built-in amplifier and plug-and-play compatibility make it easy to upgrade sound with the addition of a SunBrite soundbar.
Sunbrite said all of the new Veranda TVs boast a rated brightness of 400 nits, which is 30 percent brighter than their predecessors, support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, and have a weatherproof media bay to protect outboard streaming devices from the elements.
