Atlantic Technology is now shipping and offering an introductory discount on one of several headphones it previewed late last year.

Apart from its striking blue and rose gold look, the FS-HR280 is a closed-back, over-ear design featuring a patented quad-driver array that mates a 1.6-inch thin-film dynamic bass driver and patented ceramic tweeter in each earcup. Atlantic designed the headphones to deliver balanced sound with “extended high-frequency detail, excellent midrange clarity, and deep bass.”

List price is $299 but the headphones are currently available for $249 on the company website.

At just over 10 ounces, the headphones are lightweight and designed to achieve noise isolation without compromising audio performance by creating a comfortable seal around the ear with plush, leather-covered cushions. An adjustable padded-leather headband and pivoting earcups further contribute to a comfortable fit.

The FS-HR280 headphones include a detachable 4-foot tangle-free cable made with oxygen-free copper, a braided nylon jacket, and a gold-plated 3.5mm plug with a no-slip knurled aluminum housing.

Hands-free calling and control for iOS and Android devices is handled by an in-line microphone and controller with buttons for answer/end call, volume, play/pause, and track skip. Accessories include a gold-plated quarter-inch phone-plug adapter and nylon travel case with a removable accessory pouch.

Specs include a rated sensitivity of 105 dB and 32 ohm nominal impedance, which makes the FS-HR280 easy to drive with any home or mobile device.
