Poll: Home Entertainment Keeps S&V Readers Busy
While S&V readers are engaged in a wide variety of home entertainment activities, watching movies on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is, predictably, the most popular form of entertainment, garnering just over a quarter (27%) of the votes. Streaming movies and TV shows on several services in any format came in a distant second at 17% followed by streaming 4K movies and TV shows on several services (12%). Not surprisingly, interest in 4K was a priority for 46% of respondents. From there, it’s a hodge-podge. The full breakdown of responses is below.
We were surprised that none of our poll respondents expressed an interest in livestream music performances, which appear to be growing daily. (Actually, the category registered two votes — 0% is shown because the system doesn’t capture fractions of a percent.)
The latest and perhaps most significant example is iHeartMedia Coronavirus Benefit Concert set to air 9-10 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday, March 29) on Fox and iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and stream via the iHeartRadio app. The event will be hosted by Elton John and feature an eclectic mix of performances by Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey, Ciara, Billie Eilish, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Lizzo, Demi Lovato, Tim McGraw, and Russell Wilson.
