LG Readies Rollout of 48-Inch OLED Ultra HDTV
As the smallest available 4K OLED TV, the 48CX joins 55, 65, 77 and 88-inch models in LG’s OLED lineup. Dolby Vision and HDR10 are supported, along with advanced HDMI 2.1 features including 4K/120fps display, enhanced audio return channel (eARC), auto low latency mode (ALLM), and variable refresh rate (VRR). It also features the HDR Gaming Interest Group’s HGiG mode, which was developed with the aim of creating an HDR display standard for gaming.
On the audio front, the 48CX has Dolby Atmos support and AI Acoustic Tuning, a feature that “understands the acoustic environment and adjusts the sound for greater accuracy,” according to LG. It’s also BT Surround-ready, with the ability to link to Bluetooth speakers used as surrounds, with up-mixing to virtual 4.0 surround sound.
LG’s announced U.S. pricing for the 48CX OLED is $1,499.
