LG Launches HU810P 4K UHD Laser Projector
LG’s home theater projector is spec’d for 2,700 ANSI lumens of brightness and the company says its dual laser system is capable of hitting 97 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage. Viewers can expect approximately 20,000 hours of usage from the projector’s laser light source, and its 1.6X zoom and 60 percent vertical and 24 percent horizontal lens shift provide installation flexibility.
Along with HDR10 and HLG high dynamic range support, the HU810P provides Dynamic Tone Mapping for enhanced HDR performance. An Iris Mode provides Bright and Dark Room presets, and LG’s Adaptive Picture Pro technology can automatically adjust the image based on room ambient light levels.
LG’s built-in webOS 5.0 platform provides built-in access to streaming services including Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and, AMCTheatres On Demand using the company’s Magic Remote. In addition to WiSA, the projector features Bluetooth audio input and output and also supports Apple AirPlay 2 and Screen Share for easy wireless display of content from a smartphone or tablet.
LG has priced the HU810P CineBeam 4K UHD laser projector at $2,999, though the company’s website currently lists it at $2,699.
