Noble Audio, a 10-year-old Texas-based company specializing in high-performance in-ear monitors (IEMs) with luxurious custom finishes, has announced that its latest set of noise-canceling wireless earbuds are built around a cutting-edge silicon-based microspeaker developed by xMEMS Labs.

The new “audiophile-grade” Falcon Max TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earbuds will be one of the first available audio products to incorporate MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology when they start shipping next week (December 18) with a retail price of $270. The driver configuration used in the Falcon Max is actually a hybrid that mates a conventional 0.4-inch (10 mm) low-frequency driver with a solid-state high-frequency driver dubbed Cowell, which xMEMS bills as the “world’s smallest MEMS microspeaker.”

Beyond xMEMs driver tech, the earbuds are hand-tuned by the company’s acoustic designers and support Bluetooth 5.3 with LE (Low-Energy) Audio and spatial audio with dynamic head-tracking through Qualcomm’s “Snapdragon Sound” platform. The Falcon Max ’buds also support high-resolution sound through aptX Adaptive and LDAC audio codecs and incorporate Qualcomm’s newest generation chipset, which is said to double computing power while reducing power consumption by 20% compared with previous designs.

To reduce intrusive ambient noise, the earbuds employ an adaptive version of active-noise-cancellation technology, which adjusts noise suppression in real-time according to body movements and the level of noise present in the surrounding environment. Call clarity is bolstered by aptX Voice technology.

The Falcon Max earbuds have foam ear tips to ensure comfort, use fourth-generation “high-precision connect” technology to bolster the stability of wireless connections, and can be simultaneously paired with up to two other devices. Customizable EQ settings are also available through a dedicated control app.
