WiiM’s Vibelink Amp: Uncomplicated Muscle for Your Setup
Key to the design, per WiiM, is the inclusion of an ESS ES9038Q2M DAC, specified to handle signals up to 24-bit/192kHz. WiiM states that this built-in converter supports a range of variable sample rates and bit depths to improve fidelity from digital sources. In addition to optical and coaxial inputs, the Vibelink Amp includes analog RCA connectivity, making it adaptable for streaming devices and older gear that benefits from an outboard amplifier stage.
WiiM says that the Amp’s internal hardware was developed with heat management and noise suppression in mind. The cooling system employs copper heat pipes, an aluminum heatsink, and monitoring to maintain stable operating temperatures. An anti-pop noise feature is claimed to reduce unwanted artifacts when switching between sources or adjusting settings.
Designed to match the company’s Ultra streamer in footprint, the Vibelink Amp is intended for listeners who prefer a standalone amplifier over a more network-centric solution. “We wanted to offer an amp that delivers high power and sound quality without requiring Wi-Fi connectivity,” said Dr. Lifeng Zhao, CEO of WiiM, in a company statement. WiiM also emphasizes that users can pair the Vibelink Amp with its Pro Plus, Pro, or Mini streamers—part of the brand’s broader ecosystem for multiroom audio integration.
WiiM states that the amplifier’s Class-D circuitry provides sufficient headroom to drive complex musical passages without distortion.
Priced at $299, the Vibelink Amp is now available on Amazon US, with worldwide distribution planned for a later date. In keeping with WiiM’s product line, the company aims to balance ease of use with features that appeal to enthusiasts seeking more flexibility in a home audio system.
