Entourage: The Complete Sixth Season—HBO (Blu-ray)

Show: 4.5
Picture/Sound: 3.5/3
Extras: 3

For Vince, Eric, Drama and Turtle, life in Hollywood's fast lane can be an intoxicating roller-coaster of a ride. After hitting some speed bumps the last couple of years, Vince's career is in high gear after his role in a new Martin Scorsese film. But now that Vince is back on top, is it finally time for the entourage to step out of his shadow.

I’m not going to lie, Entourage is one of my favorite shows on TV, if not my overall favorite. The sixth season was a great time and injected a lot of the fun missing from the somber fifth season. In this season the boys start to move their own ways and you see each of them start to gain more of their own success. Like every season before it there are an obscene amount of laughs and good times. Not to be missed!!

This one lacks the spit and polish that we’ve seen from some other HBO releases. The natural photography holds up well, but you do see a bit more grain than most shows on TV. The image is also a tad flat and looks a bit hard edged. Colors are natural enough and detail is good, but this isn’t showmanship stuff. The DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack does the show justice, but other than the occasional pop track there isn’t a lot to display here.

Extras include behind the scenes features from the set along with some feature commentaries by the cast and crew.

HBO is putting out the best shows on TV today and this is one of their best. Highly recommended.
