Video: 4/5

Emma is a busy doctor who sets up a seemingly perfect arrangement when she offers her best friend Adam a relationship with one rule: "No Strings Attached". But when a fling becomes a thing, can sex friends stay best friends.

Paramount’s HD transfer is quite a good one with plenty of rich detail and depth. The photography lends itself well to the format and delivers plenty of eye candy with the outdoor scenes. Colors have a very natural quality throughout most of the film but flesh tones can look a tad cooked from time to time. I didn’t notice anything in the way of compression issues and overall this is a very good looking transfer. The soundtrack is what you’d expect from the genre with no real surprises. The dialogue is balanced nicely within the mix and the only time things pick up is when the occasional song is thrown in. Ambiance is decent and keeps the soundstage engaging, but don’t expect too much.

Extras include a look at the themes of the film, some behind the scenes features and extended scenes. You also get a DVD copy of the film along with a digital copy for portable devices.

Despite being a huge fan of Natalie Portman, I had pretty low expectations going in to this one. Surprisingly it was a lot of fun and genuinely heartwarming. The humor is raunchier than I expected and the performances were all quite good. This is an easy recommendation for date night or those looking for a pretty solid rom-com.
