Nordost Setup Disc Unlocks Your System's Potential
System Solution Set-Up & Tuning Discs ($40) provides a mix of diagnostic tracks, calibration tools, and system conditioning aids to maximize performance as well as a selection of music tracks highlighting specific aspects of system performance.
Diagnostic tracks include channel and phase checks, multiple pink and white noise signals for speaker/room diagnostics, timed frequency sweeps, and repeat drum beats. There are also computer-generated LEDR (Listening Environment Diagnostic Recording) tracks to help identify low-frequency room modes and assess how speaker placement and listening-room acoustics affect reproduction of the stereo soundfield.
The disc set also includes burn-in and degauss tracks, which Nordost calls “essential precursors to fine-tuning your existing setup or new components,” and test tracks to help properly position full-range speakers and integrate subwoofers.
A detailed instruction manual explains how to use the test tracks.
