It is rather interesting to note and a situation that a number of online reviewers have pointed out is that in the last couple of model years Sony has actually cut back on the number of LCD/LED models in their 4K lineup and in the case of their original "flagship" upper tier 4K LED Z9D that was introduced in 2016 originally had over 600 local dimming zones as opposed to its successor, the Z9F with just a little over 200.
A similar reduction in local dimming zones has also occurred moving from he 900E to 900F to the current 950G.
I suppose one could speculate that they are eventually choosing to concentrate on larger screen LED 8K models while maintaining OLED only for 55 and 65 4K monitors.
