Just in time for summer, LG has added a portable 4K smart projector to its CineBeam lineup and is pairing it with a free Xboom 360 Bluetooth speaker valued at $300 on orders placed through June 11.

Sporting a form factor that looks nothing like a traditional projector, the CineBeam PU700R ($1,700) is designed to be placed on a table or the floor and mounted on a cradle stand that allows its oval projection head to swivel up and down 90 degrees.

Because the projector is only a foot tall and weighs less than 7 pounds, it’s easy to move around and, once in place, you can project images up to 120 inches (diagonal). Setup is simple thanks to an auto screen adjustment feature that aligns and focuses the picture to optimal screen parameters. The projector also provides keystone correction and edge adjustment (4/9/15 point warping).

The projector has a rated brightness of 1,000 ANSI lumens and is built around LG’s Smart webOS platform, which provides direct access to Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Disney+, and YouTube when connected to a Wi-Fi network; its RGB LED light source is rated to last up to 30,000 hours. The PU700R supports HDR10 and HLG high dynamic range and uses dynamic tone mapping to optimize contrast frame by frame.

Wireless screen sharing allows you to mirror content from an Apple or Android mobile device or laptop and the projector supports AirPlay 2/Screen Share. A mood lighting feature built into the base of the projector provides a choice of seven colors when you want to add a little ambiance to your viewing space.

In addition to Bluetooth for connecting to up to two sets of wireless speakers or earphones, the projector has a built-in mono speaker and sports an ARC-enabled HDMI 2.1 connector and two USB ports (Type A and Type C).
