The Simpsons: The Complete Seasons 1-20 Limited Edition DVD Set ($500)
Yes, DVD (sorry no Blu-ray) but still a must-have package for diehard fans of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie Simpson. The 79 (!) disc set has a running time of 165 hours and contains all 441 shows from the first 20 seasons, including iconic episodes such as “Marge vs. The Monorail,” “Bart the General,” “You Only Move Twice,” and the legendary two-parter, “Who Shot Mr. Burns?” Twentieth Century Fox has produced only 1,000 sets and is selling 500 through Best buy and 500 on amazon.com. Of course, there is another option: Skip the discs and pay $6.99 a month to subscribe to the new Disney+ streaming service, which has all 30 seasons.

Here’s something special for the vinyl enthusiast: A turntable that doubles as a wireless streaming hub. If you or that special someone on your holiday shopping list is craving a state-of-the-art, hi-res-capable wireless home theater setup, check out Enclave Audio’s new CineHome II six-speaker system, an update of the CineHome HD wireless system we reviewed in 2016 (now available on amazon.com for $800). The system uses the audio-centric WiSA (Wireless Speaker & Audio) protocol to send uncompressed 24-bit, 96-KHz audio to each speaker with low latency and less than 1 microsecond of synchronization between speakers.

The heart of the system is Enclave’s CineHub, which supports Dolby and DTS surround-sound decoding, HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, and enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). Setup is said to take only a few minutes and involves connecting the CineHub (or other WiSA-certified USB transmitter) to a TV via HDMI, which allows audio sources to be connected to the hub via HDMI, optical digital audio, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm analog minijack connections. The free Enclave Audio app (Android) facilitates system updates and serves as a remote control when streaming from a phone, tablet, or laptop in addition to providing access to TuneIn, Spotify, Soundcloud, Tidal and other streaming services.

The company also offers the CineHome Pro system, featuring larger speakers finished in piano black with aluminum accents, for $1,499 ($1,600 for a THX-certified bundle that includes the CineHub).
