Apple Mac mini with Intel Core Duo Processor Belkin Flip for Mac mini
Another perk of this review was the ability to try out a nifty accessory like the Belkin Flip for Mac mini ($85). Providing immeasurable comfort to those making the change to a second computer, or perhaps from PC to Mac, the Belkin Flip is essentially a custom-designed KVM (keyboard/video/mouse) switch. It allows any single USB keyboard and mouse to control two computers—the Mac mini and either a PC or another Mac—connected to one CRT or LCD monitor. It supports desktop speakers, and you can even listen to music, adjust volume, and eject discs from one computer while you work on the other. No additional cables or software are necessary. Since it represents an identical footprint—and is only an inch tall—the Flip practically disappears beneath the Mac mini, with five simple buttons along the face. To "flip" between the two computers, just press a button.
