Bang and Olufsen announced that its BeoPlay 6 and second-generation BeoPlay A9 will be able to play from phones and tablets using Google Cast. When playing from a music streaming app that is Google Cast enabled, users can simply tap the cast button to send the music to the BeoPlay speakers. Using Google Cast, music is streamed from online rather than from the phone or tablet so there are no interruptions from phone notification dings, texts, or phone calls.

Music can now be streamed using Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay or Google Cast to Bang and Olufsen speakers or the new BeoSound 35 multi-room capable music player.

Google Cast will be available on existing BeoPlay speakers via software upgrade by Spring 2016.
