Home entertainment furniture specialist BDI has introduced a line of low-profile AV cabinets featuring slatted, acoustically transparent oak doors, adjustable tempered-glass shelves, and storage for components as well as vinyl LPs and other media.

The new Profile collection kicks off with two models: the three-door 8477 Console and four-door 8479 Cabinet. Both sell for $2,999 and incorporate a flow-through ventilation design to keep components cool and integrated cable-management channels to keep wires tidy and out of view.

Measuring 30 inches tall, 62 inches wide, and 20 inches deep, the 8477 console includes four shelves to accommodate up to nine components. The 8479 cabinet is 23.5 inches tall, 82 inches wide, and 20 inches deep with three shelves that house up to eight components, including a centrally located soundbar. The shelves in each unit have threaded inserts to keep them firmly in place yet easy to reposition.

Both models have a rolling base with hidden wheels and a built-in leveling system that adjusts for uneven flooring in addition to removable rear panels for easy access to cables and connections, a child-safety TV strap to prevent tipovers, and rattle-resistant soft-close doors.

BDI offers two finish options for 8477 Console and 8479 Cabinet: Toasted Oak and the lighter Washed Oak. Both cabinets are the handiwork of award-winning designer Matthew Weatherly.
