Bluesound Shows New Streamers at CEDIA 2024: Nano, Node, and Icon

At CEDIA 2024, Bluesound presented three recently announced wireless music streamers: the Node Nano, the updated Node, and the flagship Node Icon. Each model is packed with advanced features aimed at audiophiles, pushing the boundaries of performance and connectivity.

All three models support THX AAA headphone amplifier technology. The Node and Node Icon are compatible with Dirac Live Room Correction, offering an upgrade option for users looking to optimize room acoustics.

Node Nano
At $299, the Node Nano is an entry-level, compact music streamer that delivers outstanding performance with minimal setup. It’s equipped with the ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DAC, supports high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, and includes analog and digital outputs—RCA, coaxial, and optical. It’s powered via USB-C and includes Bluetooth for seamless wireless listening. Its compact design makes it perfect for tight spaces, and it also supports popular streaming services like Tidal, Spotify, and Apple AirPlay 2.

Node
The refreshed Node retains the $549 price point but upgrades the internal components for superior sound quality. Like the Nano, it features the ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DAC but adds a few extras, such as HDMI eARC for TV connectivity, a proximity sensor for touch controls, and a THX AAA headphone amplifier. This ensures high-quality, low-distortion playback through both wired and Bluetooth headphones, providing flexibility for any setup.

Node Icon
Launching in November 2024 at $999, the flagship Node Icon raises the bar for wireless streamers. It features a Dual-Mono DAC design with two ESS Sabre DACs for greater dynamic range and vanishingly low distortion. The Icon features balanced XLR outputs, a 5-inch full-color display for album art and metadata, and a stylish aluminum chassis. Additionally, it includes THX AAA technology for pristine headphone audio, making it perfect for audiophiles seeking uncompromised sound quality.

All three models support high-resolution audio formats, including MQA and DSD playback, and integrate with Bluesound's BluOS platform, which enables multi-room streaming and support for popular music services.
