Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 55 Loudspeakers Sweepstakes
According to Definitive Technology:
The Most Advanced Technologies for the Most Advanced Performance. If you love great sound you must experience Definitive's new StudioMonitor 55 for yourself. Its racetrack bass radiator technology, along with our latest generation patented Balanced Double Surround System (BDSS) bass/midrange drivers in a rock-solid attractive enclosure, delivers unsurpassed sonic performance and value.
Each SM 55 features a cast-basket 6-1/2" bass/midrange driver and a 1" aluminum dome tweeter. Definitive's patented BDSS technology supports the speaker cone at both the inner and outer edges allowing longer, more linear excursion for greater clarity and finely textured inner detail. A new patent pending Linear Response Waveguide disperses sound over a wider area for crystal clear intelligibility for every listener in the room. The tweeter is a pure aluminum dome produces extended highs that reveal nuance and shimmer without a trace of edginess.
The bass/midrange driver is pressure coupled to a top mounted racetrack bass radiator to extend and amplify bass. The total bass radiating area is substantially greater than that of a single 10-inch woofer but with far greater control, definition and speed than a single large woofer. The StudioMonitor's bass performance is nothing short of astonishing in its depth, detail and musicality.

Me, thank you, thank you!!! You are all too kind. OK, no more dreaming. I did demo the the 45 and 55 Studio Monitors and both blew me away. I am planning on ordering up the 55s and an 8040 center channel to start.
I could use a pair!
I would like to hear them with my system. The only way to audition a set of speakers.
I need something to replace my 10 year old Paradigm Mini-Monitors!
Thank you for the opportunity to own these !!
Can never have to many def tech speakers!
Would love to win these.Have not updated my speakers in a long time.
These would let me get rid of my current HTIB surrounds that I have now :)
I have always been a fan of DT loudspeakers. Ever since I sold home theatre at circuit city. They usually sounded the best across the spectrum of content. Damn fine gear!
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
I'd love a pair of these on my shelves! They look great and the review is fantastic!
This would be a good start to the new system I'm building.

I am a humble man of limited means, and there's no well defined rationale why I shouldn't win this contest.
Thank you for considering me.
Peace and Love, baby!
I could really use an upgrade of my 10 year old Yamaha speakers.
I'm feeling lucky after winner $360,000,000 in the lottery the other day...
Not. But these speakers would be a great consolation prize! A nice, relaxing day to all.
She doesn't see the need for anything more than 5.1, but if I can push it up to 7.1 with these... that's what will happen!!

These are just the small speakers I have been looking for.
A baby can dream can't he. You might as well start'em young to the electronic experience.
I need sound!?!? I'm married with two kids, so I need big sound soon....
I just bought a pair of Ascend Sierra 1 speakers (which I am liking so far). I would like to do a "shoot out" between the two. I have bad room acoustics (hard wood floor and plaster ceiling/walls). It will be interesting to see which one handles the listening area better. The "winner" will be used in my 2.0 music system. The "loser" will go downstairs replace the bookshelf speakers in my 2.1 home theater system.
Thanks for the contest and for a great magazine!
Pick me, Pick me!!
I've been lurking here forever, but I was convinced to join seeing the speakers available. I'd love to use them for my office stereo setup.
I really need some.
I need to replace my 12 year old Klipsch speakers and have a $0 budget. So it is only happening if I'm picked (or win the lottery - hopefully this sweepstakes odds are better).
Thanks
DLDukes

Those are some beautiful monitors, just gorgeous.
These would work great with the new TV and Receiver i recently purchased!
I've never been able to afford nice speakers.
Last pair I bought was some Radio Shack "towers" back in 1992.
:(
I'd love to win these!
Those would go nice on the bedroom system.
Aftering reading the previous posts, I may be a jerk entering this contest. I already have a full Defintive system I've recently rounded out with a upgraded center channel. Yes, a sub in a cneter channel does sound better, though a pain in the ass when it comes to finding a piece of furniture to house the gear. I'd like to thank Definitive for their effort and express my enjoyment with their products.
These would make an awesome second zone setup.
Wow these speakers look amazing, this site rocks been lerking around for a long time and joined recently.
Don't have any surround yet but would love to have these as excuse to get matching Def Tech's when I do though.
Just listened to them the other day. Great sound from a small package.
I have been reading about Def Tech speakers since they came out, but have not had the pleasure of owning a pair. I would buy a set if I could afford them, but I know I want em.
I always enter these contests but never win. Please let me win this one and it would make up for the hundreds of times before.
These would be nice to win.
Hope to change my luck.
I love sounds, making them and hearing them! Gimme gimme gimme!
Definitely this is the Technology.
I'll take a set
music room. Just add a serious sub and I'm set!
James
I want my Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 55s
These would be great!
