Denon Announces New High-End AVR a Step Down from Flagship AVR-A1H

Denon is expanding its A-Series receiver lineup with a new upscale model based on the flagship AVR-A1H.

Slated for release October 1, the 13.4-channel AVR-A10H is rated to deliver 13 x 150 watts of power and provides a "significant performance upgrade" over its predecessor, according to Denon, thanks to the use of new high-grade components, including an ESS digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and OFC wound transformer. Price: $4,699.

The A10H is built and hand-tuned at the renowned Shirakawa Audio Works manufacturing facility in Japan, which is owned by Masimo, the parent company of Denon and Marantz. Specializing in higher end components, the factory is known for its superior craftsmanship and for maintaining tighter tolerances.

The AVR-A10H is equipped with seven 8K-ready HDMI inputs and incorporates Denon’s app-based HEOS multiroom streaming platform in addition to Audyssey XT32 room calibration. The receiver is also compatible with Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control and is covered by a 3-year warranty.
