Denon AVR-4310CI A/V Receiver Video Test Bench
Video Test Bench
The Denon AVR-4310CI employs Anchor Bay VRS video processing, and for the most part it provided superb results. Its one notable failing was a total loss of top-end chroma resolution—at the highest burst frequency only. This limits the chroma bandwidth, though not to a degree likely to be visible. The luma response at the very top end was also visibly rolled off in the component in/HDMI out (Analog) tests (it was fine in the HDMI in/HDMI out Digital tests), but the result there was still good enough for a passing grade. In fact, the Denon’s Analog test results are significantly better than those we usually see in component in/HDMI out cross-conversions.—TJN
