Denon to Roll Out Another X Series AV Receiver
Denon announced plans to roll out yet another X Series AV receiver in October, the AVR-X6200W.
The 9.2-channel AVR will sell for $2,199—$800 less than the flagship X7200—and offer many of the same features, including HDMI 2.0a with 4K/Ultra HD support and HDCP 2.2 capability and Dolby Atmos surround-sound decoding. DTS:X surround-sound processing will be available via a free firmware update and Auro-3D processing will be offered as an optional paid upgrade.
The receiver’s nine amplifier channels can be used to set up a system based on one of the new immersive surround-sound formats or to create two additional multi-source audio zones; a 13.2-channel pre-out section creates additional surround-sound setup flexibility.
