Plenty of jokes have been made about what old people were going to do once the DTV transition messed with their normal TV-watching, but things got serious on Wednesday when a 70 year-old Missouri man shot up his own TV and got into a small stand-off with local police. Reports are saying that the man was drinking before the incident, but it was his inability to get his converter box to work properly that sent him over the edge. As of right now, this is the only problem of its kind, but with four more painful months of transition left to go, it might not be the last. I can only hope Robert Goulet was on the screen at the time of the shooting.
